Theatre Technician

Position Overview: Theater Technician wanted on contract basis for Windmill Arts, a performing arts venue in East Point, GA.

Reports to: Sam Ross, Windmill Arts Owner & Executive Director

Location: Windmill Arts, 2823 Church St, East Point, GA 30344

Schedule: Event to event basis. Minimum 4 hrs per event guaranteed.
Event schedule will be confirmed 2-months in advance, but some “last-minute” bookings may require on-call service.

Rate of Pay: $25 an hour

Qualifications & Requirements: Working knowledge of ETC EOS based lighting consoles and digital sound mixers.

Responsibilities include:

• Event/theater set-ups and turn-overs including but not limited to:
  - cyclorama/scrim hangs/drops
  - black curtain hangs/drops
  - lighting tree set-ups and hangs/drops
  - first electrician work
  - laying/pulling temporary marley flooring

• Light and sound board programming
  - ETC Element 2 and/or ETC Nomad programming 
  - Qlab programming

• Basic light designs using rep plot

• Running lights and sound during rehearsals and/or performances
